Avebury tour and Old Sarum

Cotswold Chauffeurs have Just been on a great tour of Avebury, polished off with a visit to Old Sarum. Weather is mild and perfect for a guided tour of these magnificent Neolithic sites. First stop was Avebury itself, we had a look in the Alexander Keiller museum first, followed by a walk around the outer circle.

Off for a drive down the West Kennet avenue to look at the Sanctuary, Silbury hill and last but not least, West Kennet Long Barrow. after a little bit of exercise what could be better than a bite to eat and drink of ale at the Red Lion in the centre of the village?! A great tour and we finished it off with a walk around Old Sarum, former site to Salisbury Cathedral and once a Norman castle.
